"The Mental Health Association of the North Shore was again pleased to be asked to host the Teen Essay contest sponsored by the Naomi Ruth Cohen Foundation. In these difficult economic and emotional times it is our youth that many times pay the heaviest price. They are affected by all that is going on around them but have very little control. The Teen Essay contest provides an avenue for young people to express their feelings, issues and emotions is a safe, non-threatening way. MHANS applauds the efforts of the Naomi Ruth Cohen Foundation and looks forward to an expanded Teen Essay contest for 2009."
